BODY, MIND AND
SPIRIT WELLNESS FAIR

Our agenda for the day featured several presentations from our inspiring community vendors sharing information about the services they offer, their initiatives and how they show up for their community. Besides this, we held a series of raffle draws with prizes donated by Six Points Plaza Etobicoke Shopper's Drug Mart, Bathurst and Steeles Metro, Lush and Glow Aveda beauty salon, Tovico Trattoria Restaurant and Needles for Health Acupuncture. We provided a complimentary vegan lunch alongside some light refreshments and snacks: coffee and tea and delicious granola bars. We were honoured to have amazing inhouse entertainment from a Toronto based band Blumarelo who filled the venue with their calypso inspired melodies.

We showed a video sent in by our founder Srinivas Arka who spoke on discipline and maintaining wellness.

Here a couple of inspiring quotes from the video:

"Every moment our body is reflecting directly the disciplines of nature such as rhythm, the beat, pulsation, these are the gestures of the discipline so accurate therefore the body can be viewed as digital."

"Recognize the discipline in the body, appreciate how amazingly it's all set in so well and then go with the discipline of the body, you feel in control of your body."

Our event brought the community together in a meaningful way, highlighting the older adults in our community. With vibrant engagement, raffle prize giveaways and intentional vendor-based presentations, we cultivated a supportive space where older adults and other community members alike could gather to learn, connect and celebrate wellness in its entirety. We were honoured to have a special appearance from Local and Regional Councillor, Vaughan Council, York Region Council, Mario Racco who shared a few words about his appreciation for our organization and its dedication to supporting seniors in the community as well as the importance of mental wellness.

We'd like to thank our amazing vendors for participating in this fair but more importantly for their daily dedication to supporting the older adults in our community.
