EVENT RECAP
A look back at the day
We recently gathered at the University of Guelph for an interactive workshop focused on navigating healthy versus unhealthy relationships.
Our agenda was packed with inspiring moments, including presentations from the CCA team and an insightful session led by registered psychotherapist and couples therapist Rebecca May. Using her SET UP Framework, Rebecca discussed how attendees can develop practical skills to better understand themselves and others, navigate conflict, set healthy boundaries, and build relationships on trust and respect. The event also featured an inspiring video address from our founder, Srinivas Arka.
Alongside these powerful discussions, attendees enjoyed a delicious complimentary vegan pasta primavera dinner served with fresh salad and fruit trays. The room was brought to life with amazing live performances by Grace Martins and Nicole Sawrantschuk, and we hosted a series of raffle draws with prizes ranging from Shoppers Drug Mart and Starbucks gift cards to CCA tote bags and books by our founder. We wrapped up the day with a captivating Arka Dhyana Intuitive Meditation demonstration led by the CCA team.
During the event, we asked a key question to our founder, Srinivas Arka:
“How can practicing conscious awareness help someone maintain their own sense of identity and peace when processing difficult emotions in a relationship?”
Key takeaways from Srinivas Arka
“People with raised conscious awareness have a clear view of what they are doing and their mindful journey. They possess the intuitive skills and knowledge to manage difficult situations.”
“It’s just like a turtle drawing its limbs safely into its protective shell, it eventually returns to the world, slowly extending itself outward once it’s ready again.”
“You will have learned to keep your mind steady and unaffected by external circumstances or the reactions of others.”
