We joined Forests Ontario to plant trees at two locations. Here’s a summary of the events:

Cambridge, Ontario:
We joined Forests Ontario and many other members of the community to plant over 150 trees and shrubs at the Dumfries Conservation Area in Cambridge. The event was part of Forest Ontario’s Community Tree Plant event that took place at various locations around Ontario that day. Although the morning was cold and a bit rainy, there was a large turnout of volunteers and everyone worked together very efficiently to complete all the plantings in less time than anticipated. A donation was also made to Forests Ontario to help fund future reforestation efforts.

York Region – Mt. Albert, Ontario:
We joined volunteers to plant over 600 trees, mainly maple and pine trees. It was a soggy, gloomy day, but we enjoyed making our small contribution to bettering the environment in Canada.

Special thanks to Justin Wan for co-ordinating the event.
