Our CCA-Canada’s 5th anniversary was an entertaining, educational and enlightening event on a beautiful Autumn day. Master of Ceremony, Jake Dheer, created an uplifting, fun atmosphere energized with a welcoming of all guests by Native Indian Drummer, Nathan Roy, which then inspired a spontaneous Native Indian Dance by attendees.
CCA-Canada provided an overview of 5 years of charity work including community service and outreach. Dr. Shafi Bhuiyan then educated the audience with a practical and meaningful presentation on Mother and Child Healthcare in Developing Countries.
The event then hit an even higher note with musical performances by Suriya Ratnasapabathy on the Veena and Vishnuga Kulasingam on Violin accompanied by Manoj Kantan on the tabla during a delicious Italian vegetarian lunch.
The event was climaxed by the musical performance by Ed Hanley, of Juno nominated Autorickshaw, on the tabla, and Justin Gray on the Bass Veena. We unveiled a commemorative magazine featuring CCA-Canada’s work over the past 5 years and expressed our gratitude to all those that helped us to reach our 5 year mark, including handing out plaques.
