We then held a Arka Dhyana Intuitive Meditation group participation, where attendees learned the basics of Arka Dhyana and practiced collectively. Andrea Ubell, Director, Programs & Client Services from Alzheimer Society of York Region, presented on the challenges to our brain during COVID-19. She advocated many approaches that we can take to clear our mind which included meditation, eating healthy and exercising regularly. She also presented a large number of mental health resources that are available to the public through the federal and provincial government and other organizations. Attendees asked many fascinating questions, including: Can a senior get tested for dementia? How much time does one have after being diagnosed with dementia? Can dementia be reverted? What is the main reason or aspect that leads to a recovery?
