Speakers

Building Connections through Storytelling was an event focused on showing youth how
important storytelling can be in their lives. This hybrid event at University of Waterloo was CCA-
Canada’s first in-person event in almost 3 years. The event began with an introduction to CCA-
Canada and a brief demonstration of Arka Dhyana Intuitive Meditation. The event was filled
with interactive questions, a kahoot contest for both online and in-person participants, and of
course an engaging Q&A!
Srinivas Arka answered:
– Why is sharing our stories important?
– How does listening to others’ stories help us to learn and grow?
Carolina Miranda discussed:
– Storytelling in Academia
– What a good storyteller or narrative researcher is aware of
– How Storytelling permeates and reshapes systems
– Why she created Feminine Harbor
Olivia Miller discussed:
– Her personal experience with storytelling
– How storytelling has helped her grow as a person
